Volunteering / Club Membership:
Any person who wishes to be a part of the Club and agrees to support and uphold the “Purpose” of the Club may join. Membership shall not be denied to any person based on race, ethnicity, dialect, sex, sexual orientation, age, or level of disc golf ability. All members are expected to demonstrate upstanding conduct while present at the park(s) and during all club related activities. Annual Membership is contingent upon completion of ten (10) logged volunteer hours for the term and be in good standing.
Members have the right to vote at Monthly Club Meetings for starting/ending/ other details of specific projects, club direction and club endeavors, amendments to these By-Laws or otherwise at Special meetings called pursuant hereto. Members have the right to vote at all Membership meetings (whether Monthly, Annual or Special) by a simple majority of attending members except changes to the By-Laws, which need at least 2/3 majority vote of directors. Attending members shall mean the members personally present and members absentee ballots.
Members have the right to attend Club functions and activities. Members are encouraged to attend meetings and to volunteer at Club events and functions, and to promote disc golf in a positive manner.
Members have the right to participate as a candidate for board member elections. Members have the right to express their viewpoints during membership comment at Club meetings.
Members may petition or lobby other Members and Directors for purpose of improving the Club or to sway a decision regarding Club business. This type of activity is limited to issues directly related to Club business and should not be used as a platform for private gain or grudges, political/religious affiliations, or personal agendas.
